Glimpses of the Malinke and Bambara of MALI (Sorry, this too is yet under preparation)
On this custom page for our Web site we want to describe the Malinke people and the mission's and church's activities to reach and help them.
The focus of the UWM Malinké Team, where there is already a long-established church, is on leadership training and supporting the national church in their own evangelism and church planting efforts. Underlying many of our efforts is the use of Storying, or Chronological Bible Teaching, although we have been doing it long enough to realize that it is not the ‘magic bullet’ to beat all other methods (as it was originally presented to us), so we even tell people about Jesus sometimes without having told them the whole Bible story from Genesis to Malachi first! |

Joel preaching in Lafiyabougou neighborhood church of Kayes with Jean translating to Bambara
Joel Sisoko, from the mountain village of Guinduinsou, has been preaching in Kayes for a number of years. Yearning for more biblical studies he enrolled in the Reed Bible Institute in Bougouni, southern MALI, for three years. He and Setou and the kids ave been now back in Yatela pastoring for over a year.
